My specialty areas are those where I have experience not just as a writer or editor but in some other way as well. Currently, my specialty areas include:

Psychology and Self-Help

I especially enjoy working with authors (often therapists) who are creating psychology books for the general public. I've also helped clinicians who publish regularly on the web. Having edited many dissertations has honed the skills needed for editing professional and academic titles as well.

Additional qualifications: I have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and am a licensed professional counselor. I have taught a large number of psychology courses and had 2 self-help/psychology books published.

Human Relationships

I have helped authors with books and articles about partner and family relationships.

Additional qualifications: My background in counseling provides a foundation of knowledge, along with many years of teaching communication skills.

Spirituality

I've edited books and articles from various spiritual viewpoints (often less traditional) and enjoy working in this area very much.

Additional qualifications: I have extensive spiritual training and have published articles and books in this subject area.

Education

I did a substantive and line edit on a book targeted to educational policymakers and teachers. I have also written curriculum and teaching materials.

Additional qualifications: 10 years teaching in a variety of college and professional settings.

Memoirs/Personal Experience

Have edited memoirs and coached people in personal writing.

Additional qualifications: Published memoir of my own and taught journal writing for many years.
